Giving Back

Locally grown. Local commitments.

We welcome research opportunities with local students. In partnership with the University of Georgia (UGA), we conduct trials on cattle methane emissions. And UGA students visit the farm regularly to research cattle feed efficiency, marbling and intermuscular fat scores. As part of our intern program, we also partner with nearby Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and give local Future Farmers of America (FFA) groups tours of our facilities.

While we grow 50% of our corn, the rest of the corn that we use comes from local farms. In addition, local farms provide our hay, corn stalks, peanut hulls and wheat straw for bedpacks in our barns.
