Lower Carbon Emissions
We depend on our land and livestock. That’s why we challenge ourselves every day to be more environmentally responsible — and our efforts are paying off. A recent study found our operations emit fewer greenhouse gas emissions than conventional operations. Factors in our success include:
- Limiting pesticides, reducing soil tilling, and using composting, waste reclaimant and cover crops
- Returning more nutrients to the land by fertilizing our crops and reducing water usage with cutting-edge manure and water recycling systems
- Keeping our farms within a two-hour radius from each other so we consume less fuel when transporting cattle
